Air Box Resonator Removal

Stock CAI
The Air Box Resonator is that small box that is attached to the stock air filter box. Basically it's a silencer for the intake. Removing it will allow more air into the filter box, as well as give your car a nice sporty tone.

Tools required: Flathead Screwdriver

Time to complete: 5-10 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Remove the lid from the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. This will allow room for the resonator to slide out.
  2. Unscrew the 4 screws on the top of the air box.
  3. Slide the air box top out of the way.
  4. The resonator is attached to the air box on the inside by 3 small clips, 2 on top, 1 on the bottom. Press and hold them gently, they break easily.
  5. Gently slide the resonator box toward the driver side of the engine bay. It should come right off, but you might have to force it a bit.
  6. Put the air box top back on.
  7. Tighten the 4 screws.
  8. Put the windshield wiper fluid reservoir cap back on.
